Just a quick note since it was brought up elsewhere.  Fox Sports Detroit is only showing the GLI Championship game this year, which starts at 6:30 p.m. next Sunday evening.

The original TV schedule released by the CCHA had the semifinal games being shown on Fox Sports Net Plus because FSD is broadcasting Michigan State and Detroit Pistons basketball that afternoon (which trumps college hockey), but that got axed.

The original schedule also had the GLI third place game being shown on Fox Sports Detroit, but instead they will be airing a show on snowmobiling, Making of the Texas Bowl, and poker.  Seriously, WTF?

That blows. Any chance it’ll be on Comcast Live (Channel 900 or so)?

I guess that’s just one more reason to go to the games, at least if you live in the area…

Unless something 11th hour happens, no, it won’t be on Comcast. The schedule on MGoBlue.com says “Final only” for GLI television. I can’t remember the last time I didn’t watch the GLI over the holidays in person or on TV.

Pretty crappy that TV coverage for three of the games got canceled to begin with. Too bad they couldn’t find another outlet to broadcast the games or at least have them shown on tape delay.

Fox Sports Detroit’s coverage of college hockey gets worse and worse each year. I miss PASS Sports.
