Motherf….. congrats to the Falcons.  More later…

Matt Rust just hit the post with five minutes left on a shorthanded opportunity.

Midway through the 3rd period.  I’ve pretty much already conceded.  I’ve seen these games before a few years ago when Hensick and Jack Johnson were here.  So offensively minded that they screw up defensively.  Air Force has had a handful of odd-man rushes from bad pinches and decisions.  Just like a few years ago.  Add in a hot goalie for the Falcons, and we’re looking at one and done.

Michigan is outshooting Air Force 36-8 but still got a big zero on the scoreboard.  The Falcons haven’t gotten many chances, but as I said earlier, they have converted.  Michigan…too much individualism, they look like they’re trying so hard offensively that they forgot to play defense, and that’s before they were trailing.

The upset is on. Falcons score 7:03 into the second period when Jacques Lamoreux beat Hogan low glove-side on a two-on-one breakaway. Air Force isn’t getting a lot of chances, but they are making their chances count. Michigan looks to be a bunch of individual, not a team. Not looking good.

Wolverines had an early 5-on-3 opportunity but couldn’t convert. They are outshooting Air Force badly, but the Falcons scored a bad goal in the opening stanza to take the 1-0 lead. Michigan also having problems staying out of the penalty box. As I type this Turnbull just got called for charging, though the radio announcers and Red are all up in arms about how bad of a call it was (guess it was nothing more than a check).
