Jacob Trouba sat out Saturday’s game after destroying Northern Michigan forward Reed Seckel with a blindside hit at center ice Friday that saw him ejected for contact to the head and receive a game disqualification, an automatic one game suspension. Seckel did not move for several minutes before being helped off the ice, and he returned to the line up Saturday night after being cleared by doctors.

Where can we see this destroying hit?

Best bet is to check out Inside Michigan Hockey this weekend when it’s posted on MGoBlue (I’ll post it here, too), though I’m not sure if they’ll show the hit.  I’m also checking with one of my NMU contacts to see if they have video of the games I can obtain.

    Jason,
Thanks for looking. I’m looking forward to seeing if it was as good as the hit when he was eleven years old.

I just watched the video of his hit as an 11 year old on YouTube and it’s pretty similar to what happened Friday night.  We got a request in to get the video of the games and will hopefully receive those tomorrow or Thursday.
