Going to The Joe!

After a dominating first period by Michigan that saw them come out in a disappointing 1-1 tie, the Wolverines exploded with four second-period goals to punch their ticket to Joe Louis Arena, 5-1.

Kevin Lynch scored early in the first period before the Broncos tied it.  A.J. Treais found Andrew Sinelli to jump start Michigan’s second period rally, which also saw Alex Guptill add two goals and Derek DeBlois chipping in the other goal.  Luke Moffatt had three assists.

The Wolverines’ opponent remains to be seen as Michigan State and Miami are tied 1-1 in their series with the deciding Game 3 Sunday.  Notre Dame is also holding on to a 4-3 lead over Bowling Green in Game 2 of their series and if they win tonight they will head to The Joe.  Ohio State also defeated Ferris State tonight to force Game 3 in their series.
