’97-born forward Sam Miletic announced he has verbally committed to Michigan. With a birth date a few days before 2015 commit Brendan Warren, we’ll peg him for the ’15 class.

The Bloomfield Hills, Michigan native played for Cranbook this past season and had 10 goals and 10 assists in 11 games. The Cranes went 28-2-1 and captured the D-3 state title. It was their eighth championship since 2000.

Sam is listed as 5-foot-11, 155 pounds. His USHL rights are owned by Green Bay, and his OHL rights are owned by London.

Russ Bitely ranked Miletic among the ‘B’ players at last summer’s USA Hockey Select 15 Player Development Camp and said:

Samuel Miletic – Forward: Cranbrook-Kingswood HS (MI); Bloomfield Township, MI – Draft eligible 2015

He competes hard, skates well, and showed good offensive thoughts. He is not overly gifted with stick skills, but plays smart in putting himself in position to score. He found the back of the net on a rebound one game and then followed it up with his second tally by finishing on the 3-on-2 as the trailer down the slot.

At the same event, USHR ranked Miletic the 23rd best forward and said:

23. Samuel Miletic (#10 Navy Blue, 4-2-6) 5-11/156 — Plays for Cranbrook (Mich.) HS. Strong, sturdy forward who plays hard. Has a good stick and is dangerous in the scoring areas.
