2nd Period

9:24 – Another Nanook penalty for interference.

8:44 – Penalties to both teams are over.

6:44 – Penalties to both teams.  4×4 for two minutes.  UA for interference, Kevin Lynch for roughing after the whistle.  Just saw the replay.  Lynch got two minutes for that??  Really?!  Rust with a check at the whistle, a UA player then shoves him, Lynch skates in and pushes the guy away on his arm/shoulder.  No punch or even scuffle.  Just a typical shove off.  Lame.

4:30 – Lebler hits the post!

3:28 – SCORE! A.J. Treais redirects a centering pass from Ben Winnett at the top of the crease past Thompson.

00:37 – Penalty to UA is over.

00:00 – Steve Thompson replaced Scott Greenham in net for the Nanooks.  It’s Thompson’s college debut.  Well, that’s getting tossed right into the fire.

1st Period

20:00 – End of the first period – Michigan 3, Alaska 0. Three goals in a minute and a half span blows open the game and U-M starts the second period with 34 seconds left on the PP.

18:34 – And now another Michigan PP.

18:23 - SCORE! Brian Lebler with a wrist shot from the top of the right circle beats the blocker of Greenham in the far top corner.  Assist to Ben Winnett.

17:26 - SCORE! Chris Brown redirects a shot by Steve Kampfer on the PP.  2-0 Wolverines!

17:00 – SCORE! Lee Moffie with two seconds left on the 4×4.  Rust and Hagelin did a great job keeping the puck in the zone and knocking it to the corner.  Hagelin scoops it up and finds Moffie cutting in from the point all alone in front for the goal.

16:09 – Kevin Lynch steals at the U-M blue line, heads in one-on-one and gets taken down.  Penalty to the Nanooks.  4×4 for about a minute, then a Michigan PP.

15:03 – Penalty to Michigan.

12:35 – Snooze fest going on.  Alaska doesn’t play the most exciting brand of hockey, nor do they allow it.

9:15 – Nanooks kill both penalties and looked very solid doing it.

7:13 – Caporusso draws another penalty.  5×3 for 50 sec.

6:05 – UA had a good chance that went over the net.  Penalty to Alaska coming up…Dion Knelson in the box.

5:30 – No score, not much action.  Alaska clogging the zones and not allowing Michigan to open up the offense.  Caporusso had one decent chance.
