Fallon leaves NTDP; others suspended (UPDATED)
By Jason Paul | January 19, 2010
No more word has come out after last week’s USHR report on the sexual harassment allegations against four U.S. National Team Development Program players, three of whom are University of Michigan recruits. However, yesterday forward Jacob Fallon, a 2010 Wolverine recruit, had his name taken off the roster list on USA Hockey’s website. The other three players involved all remain on the roster. So take it for what you will for the time being.
UPDATE: According to Dean Millard of The Pipeline Show with Dean Millard and Guy Flaming, U-M recruit Jacob Fallon has voluntarily left the NTDP. They said Fallon was not suspended but chose to leave the program after talking with the coaching staff. No word yet if he will go somewhere else (if he can at this point in the season) and honor his Michigan commitment or go the major junior route.
The other three players involved—Matthew Nieto and Michigan recruits Kevin Clare and Jon Merrill—are all suspended until January 31 for “a violation of team rules,” according to Millard.
