Michigan 2, Bowling Green 1 (quick update)

By Jason Paul | February 4, 2010

What, there was a game tonight?  Yeah, there was, and Michigan held on to defeat Bowling Green, 2-1, and can now finally fully focus on the outdoor game at Wisconsin Saturday.

The Wolverines jumped out to a 2-0 lead on power play goals by Matt Rust and Chris Brown at 12:05 and 13:16 of the opening stanza. The goals came during a five minute major penalty to Tommy Dee for checking from behind.

Tomas Petruska would respond for the Falcons a few minutes later, but that would do it for the scoring.

Bryan Hogan stopped 12 shots as the Wolverines defense shut down the Falcons offense.  Nick Eno made 28 saves for Bowling Green.
