Ratings, we got star ratings
By Jason Paul | February 18, 2010
Rivals new CollegeHockey247.com website, headed up by long time The Wolverine contributor Bob Miller, has posted their Top 10 recruits for 2010 with stars. Yes, star ratings have now officially come to college hockey recruits on Rivals.
Michigan defensive recruit Jon Merrill checks in at #4 on their list (5 starz!). USA Hockey Director of Player Personnel Ryan Rezmierski sees him making an immediate impact at Michigan in all situations.
“He makes the game look easy on both ends of the rink. Jon is a better defender than given credit for because of the angles he takes and his stick details. Offensively, he thinks the game almost like a basketball player—he’s silky smooth and darts in and out to find the creases to make plays. The game slows down for him when he has the puck.”
CollegeHockey247.com will release their list of the Top 50 recruits later this week.
