Game 1: Michigan 5, Lake Superior State 2 – Final

A.J. Treais put a backhander past Brian Mahoney-Wilson a little over 10 minutes in to the game to break the deadlock.
The Lakers got a golden chance shortly after the goal and Ben Winnett kept the puck out of an open net with his skate.
David Wohlberg makes it 2-0 in the 2nd period. Wolverines coming out strong in the middle stanza, outshooting LSSU 6-0 so far in this period.
Matt Rust scores 37 seconds into the third period. The Lakers finally get on the board three minutes later, but seconds after their goal Brian Lebler put U-M ahead 4-1.
LSSU added another goal about 11 minutes in to the period, but that was all they’d get.
Chris Summers added an empty net goal with 1:04 left to seal the game.
Wolverines take Game 1, 4-2.
