Quick lands in Norfolk; Violation revealed
By Jason Paul | February 10, 2008
Former Wolverine defenseman Kevin Quick has signed a professional tryout contract with the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League.
Quick was dismissed from the U-M hockey team Feb. 1 for an undisclosed violation of team rules and the trust of the team. According to The Buffalo News, the violation involved stealing a credit card and charging thousands of dollars to it.
In an article posted on The Daily News website, Quick says, “I’ve got to face that I made a bad decision that cost me a scholarship. I know there will be questions and I’m not going to lie.”
Quick could be facing legal action in the next few weeks.
