Alaska 2, Michigan 0 – Final
By Jason Paul | October 9, 2009
Ugh… Alaska blanks Michigan, 2-0, in the opening game of the season. Not the way we wanted to see the Wolverines start the season, especially after the way last season ended. U-M outshot the Nanooks, 23-13, but got penalized five times (to Alaska’s three penalties) and went 0-for-3 on the power play. Michigan will try to rebound tonight against Alaska Anchorage, who defeated Mercyhurst, 5-3, last night.
